Dorset Gene Pool - Show Reel
Dorset Gene Pool are a collection of good friends that have evolved over time from a variety of local bands of numerous genres. They now make up an exciting and eclectic form of what is typically known as a “Covers Band” - but such is the unique nature of this collaboration a more accurate description is an UNCOVERS BAND.
We don’t play typically overplayed songs, we chose classics that have been somewhat buried under the populist pile and uncover them to present them to our audience in a fresh style, often overlaid with Violin, Cello, Mandolin and even the Tuba. Whilst we draw on our first adolescent musical memories of the likes of Zeppelin and Gary Moore in the UK, we also take more modern hits from our children’s worldwide playlists such as Greenday and Kings of Convenience… to name but a few.
We enjoy playing music festivals. Afternoon performances suit both ourselves and our audiences well, we have a wide ranging repertoire with suitably laid back instrumental based songs that compliment our higher energy “singalong bangers”

Here's my 2017 Triumph Bonneville Scrambler ... Not keen on the twee "Street" moniker. I get asked a lot about various mods so to allow myself more time to ride I produced this video, and had a little fun with it - enjoy. Music by Iron Maiden, feat. ArcoMalarkey on Fiddle Filmed in beautiful Dorset when "Cosmo" and I spend most of our time bimbling around the lanes.

I moved to Poole in 2014. The old photos are amazing. The town is so different today, I would've loved to see the old ships docked up along side the Quay.

Love this. Although not from Poole myself I love to visit as my ancestors were 18th C Poole-Newfoundland merchants. One of them, Benjamin Lester, owned the Antelope pub that's still there today. 🍻

In the early scene of riding between trees is demonstrative of one glaring design fail on these bikes. (I have a brand new one) The speedometer is too flat. You are getting sky reflection. The top of the speedo needs to be tilted back at least an inch, maybe 2.
I think you'll find that all depends on the solar azimuth, unless you are also a flat earther ;-)
@@BlackSheepTitch it has to do with the spedo being more visible to the sky than the driver.

Not a big scrambler fan. Mostly the pipes on your leg and 2in1, or 2. I guess I like the balance of a pipe on both sides. But much of the extras look boss. I am in the middle on blacked out vs chrome. They both have their own super looks. But when the black fades, looks crap. Like old frames. Nice bike tho 👍
Having lived in Poole since 1955, I can relate to this beautiful written and sung song. The coal conveyers scared me to death when I was nipper and seeing the changes over the years have honestly brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for the wonderful post.

my ancestor as irish diaspora arrived in nfld, on the ship records he seems to have come from dorset via a ship of benjamin green. Anyway there are only abt 250 ppl with my name today. dorset had taken us in from erin/n ir(i hear in the 1800s there were many n irish and norfolk there too?) I’m enjoying learning about dorset who adopted us before here. We settled in a small fishing outport and stayed near the water to this day<3 i hope you all are safe and well for winter

None at all mate, lost momentum in the ruts, attempted to hop out of the one I was in and that's what happened. Classic error of looking down and not ahead, should have just bombed it :-)

Where do you get 44 sprocket....can't get any in Australia...also did you have to change chain...also did 1 st gear top out too early with sprocket change...what about top speed🙄🙄🙄
www.classicbike-raisch.de/en/ Orig chain. All gear changes are earlier, that's what I wanted I was changing 2-3 too much now I can stay in 3 on country lanes...it's a personal thing. Same power = same speed, doesn't rev limit in 5th.
Do the cops give you any problems about the old school black license plate?
Not so far, the very first time I filled it up a (Firearms) cop looked over my shoulder at the pump - he was interested in the bike - I asked him about the plate he said it'd only be flagged up if I was committing so other "proper" crime. Had one camera fine - wasn't mentioned .. I live in Dorset though not some "metropolitan regime" :-)

I would expect you'd need to do some modifications...but all things are possible. Best ask a dealer.
Nice job! Does the front wheel have to be off the ground when removing the headlight brackets?
I managed to get it off without moving the yokes, it is tight though.

Hi, I've purchased the same exhaust and I read in the previous comments your dealer remapped the engine (VH mapping apparently alredy exists). Did you also change the air filter? Read on many website that it is very recccomended inc ase of such ehaust installation to let the bike breath more freely and get the most from that.. t
I have put a K&N filter in - I don't think it makes much difference over stock. However removing the snorkel does - dead easy, access from LH side panel one screw, pull out, throw away ;-)

Do you have part numbers for rear fender assembly, signals, and seat?
Fender is stock Triumph - but I've modified it myself, so not really, - seat comes with bike, signals are TRA 2701151. Simple. :-)
I'm very tempted by this ST exhaust also for my SS. Did you change the engine tune?
Yes the dealer has a map for it.

Probably - never put it on a Dyno, and always had this config from new so nothing to compare - it all makes good sense.
